వేణు తొట్టెంపూడి, అవంతిక మిశ్రా లీడ్ రోల్ లో నటించిన వెబ్ సిరీస్ “అతిథి”. ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ ను రాండమ్ ఫ్రేమ్స్ ఎంటర్ టైన్ మెంట్ బ్యానర్ పై దర్శకుడు భరత్ వైజీ రూపొందించారు. ప్రముఖ దర్శకుడు ప్రవీణ్ సత్తారు షో రన్నర్ గా వ్యవహరించారు. డిస్నీ ఫ్లస్ హాట్ స్టార్ లో నేటి నుంచి “అతిథి” వెబ్ సిరీస్ స్ట్రీమింగ్ అవుతోంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ లో నటించిన ఎక్సీపిరియన్స్ తెలిపారు హీరో వేణు.
- “అతిథి”కి మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ వస్తోంది. కొందరు క్లాసీగా ఉందని, మరికొందరు మాస్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ ఉన్నాయని అంటున్నారు. నన్ను అడిగితే ఇదొక కంప్లీట్ ఫ్యామిలీ ఎంటర్ టైనర్ మూవీ లాంటిది. ఇందులో కామెడీ, సస్పెన్స్, డ్రామా, సెంటిమెంట్ అన్నీ ఉన్నాయి. హారర్ ఎలిమెంట్స్ తక్కువ. అందుకే ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియెన్ అంతా కలిసి హాయిగా చూడొచ్చు. ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బంది ఉండదు.
- లాక్ డౌన్ టైమ్ లో వెబ్ సిరీస్ లు చాలా చూశాను. ఆ టైమ్ లో నేను కూడా ఒక వెబ్ సిరీస్ చేస్తే బాగుంటుంది అనిపించింది. నేను అనుకున్నట్లే ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ ప్రొడ్యూసర్ “అతిథి” గురించి చెప్పారు. ఆ తర్వాత స్క్రిప్ట్ నా దగ్గరకు పంపించారు. “అతిథి” కథ నాకు బాగా నచ్చింది. భరత్ నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు మీరు ఈ సబ్జెక్ట్ చేస్తే బాగుంటుంది అన్నాడు. నన్ను నమ్మి ఒక కొత్త డైరెక్టర్ వచ్చినప్పుడు ఎంకరేజ్ చేయాలని అనిపించింది. కథ కూడా బాగా ఇంప్రెస్ చేసింది. దాంతో ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ చేసేందుకు ఒప్పుకున్నా.
- నా కెరీర్ లో ఫస్ట్ టైమ్ హారర్ కంటెంట్ లో నటించాను. ఈ వెబ్ సిరీస్ లో నేను చేసిన రవివర్మ క్యారెక్టర్ పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్ చేసేందుకు చాలా కష్టమైంది. ఎందుకంటే ఈ కథలో అతనికి అన్నీ తెలుసు. కానీ ఏమీ తెలియనట్లు ఉండాలి. ఎక్కువ, తక్కువ కాకుండా బ్యాలెన్స్ గా ఉండాలి. మిగతా క్యారెక్టర్స్ కు ఇలాంటి రెస్ట్రిక్షన్స్ లేవు. నాకు మాత్రం డబ్బాలో పెట్టినట్లు బిగించారు. దర్శకుడు భరత్ ఈ కథ నా దగ్గరకు తీసుకొచ్చినప్పుడు మీరు సెటిల్డ్ పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్ చేయాలి చెప్పాడు. మా పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్ కు మంచి పేరొస్తుందంటే ఆ క్రెడిట్ భరత్ కే ఇవ్వాలి.
- “అతిథి”లో లిమిటెడ్ క్యారెక్టర్స్ తో ఒక డ్రామా ప్లే అవుతుంటుంది. ప్రవీణ్ సత్తారు ప్రొడ్యూసర్ కాబట్టి…ఆయన ప్రతి విషయంలో జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకునేవారు. మాతో డిస్కస్ చేసేవారు. సెట్ కు రాలేదు గానీ అన్నీ తెలుసుకునేవారు. “అతిథి” కోసం ఆయన మంచి ఎఫర్ట్ పెట్టారు. “అతిథి”లో నటించడాన్ని పూర్తిగా ఎంజాయ్ చేశాను.
- సెకండ్ ఇన్నింగ్స్ లో స్పీడ్ గా సినిమాలు చేయాలనే కోరిక లేదు. మంచి సబ్జెక్ట్ చేయాలి. నటుడిగా నా బెస్ట్ ఇవ్వాలని అనుకుంటున్నా. ఎందుకంటే నటుడిగా నా బెస్ట్ పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్ చేసే కథ ఇంకా దొరకలేదు. నాగార్జున గారి అన్నమయ్య, చిరంజీవి గారి కొన్ని సినిమాలు చూసినప్పుడు ఇలాంటి సబ్జెక్ట్ మనం తప్పకుండా చేయాలని అనిపిస్తుంటుంది. అతడు సినిమాలో సోనూ సూద్ క్యారెక్టర్ లో నేనే నటించాలి. అయితే వేరియస్ రీజన్స్ వల్ల ఆ ప్రాజెక్ట్ చేయలేకపోయాను. అలాగే దేశముదురు సినిమా కూడా చేయలేకపోయా. అయితే కొన్ని ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ నా కెరీర్ లో మిస్ అయినందుకు ఏమీ బాధపడటం లేదు. ఇదొక సముద్రం అలలు వస్తుంటాయి, కొన్నిసార్లు సునామీలు కూడా వస్తాయి. ప్రస్తుతం ఛాయ్ బిస్కెట్ వాళ్లకు ఓ ప్రాజెక్ట్ చేస్తున్నా. సూర్య అని కొత్త దర్శకుడు. చాలా మంచి ప్రాజెక్ట్ అవుతుంది.

- I watched a lot of web series during the lock down time. At that time I also thought it would be good if I did a web series. As I thought, the executive producer of this web series said about “Athidhi ”. After that the script was sent to me. I liked the story of “Athidhi ”. When Bharat came to me he said it would be good if you do this subject. When a new director came who believed in me, I thought to support his vision. The story is also very impressive. So I agreed to do this web series.
- I acted in horror content for the first time in my career. It was very difficult for me to perform the character of Ravi Varma in this web series. Because he knows everything in this story. But he should behave like, he knows nothing. There should be a balance, not too much or too little. There are no such restrictions for other characters. For me, they tightened it like it was put in a box. When director Bharat brought this story to me, he said you should give settled performance. If my performance is good, credit should be given to Bharat.
- In “Athidhi ” there is a drama is played with limited characters. As Praveen Sattaru is a good producer, he takes care of everything. They used to discuss with us. He did not come to the set but knew everything. He has put in a good effort for the “Athidhi”. I thoroughly enjoyed acting in “Athidhi”.
- There is no desire to make films at speed in the second innings. It should be a good subject. I want to give my best as an actor. Because the story of my best performance as an actor is yet to be found. When we see some films of Nagarjuna’s Annamayya and Chiranjeevi films, we feel that we must do such a subject. I should’ve played the character of Sonu Sood in the film. But due to various reasons I could not do that project. Also I could not do Deshamuduru movie. But I don’t feel bad about missing some projects in my career. It’s an ocean with waves, sometimes even tsunamis. I am currently doing a project for Chai Bisket uneer the direction of a debutant director. It will be a very good project.
