Telugu FM channel 98.3 Mirchi celebrated Telugu Language Day on August 29 with a three-day special aimed at preserving and promoting the language.
The initiative focused on simplifying Telugu to make it more accessible to younger generations. By de-jargonizing the language and emphasizing clarity, Mirchi aimed to encourage GenZ and future generations to embrace Telugu in their daily lives. Vani Madhavi Avasarala, the woman behind this movement, expressed her conviction about the importance of language preservation in today’s globalized world.
“In a time when regional talent is making waves internationally, language’s progression through generations is crucial”, said Vani. The goal is to help this rich language continue to thrive for generations to come. A glimpse into Vani’s experience sheds light on her contributions to several international film festivals, the Indian film industry, automotive and media brands.
The team at Radio Mirchi proudly claims that they are the only radio station in twin Telugu states ‘to play exclusive Telugu content’ with the only intention of promoting colloquial language.
