– 8 వసంతాలు సినిమా తర్వాత చాలా స్క్రిప్ట్స్ నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చాయి. ఎన్నో కథలు విన్నాను. అవి నన్ను ఎగ్జైట్ చేయలేదు. ఆ టైమ్ లో రోమాంచకం స్క్రిప్ట్ నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చింది. ఈ కథ విన్నాక చాలా హ్యాపీగా అనిపించింది. ఇలాంటి మూవీలో కదా నటించాలని కోరుకున్నానను అనే ఫీల్ కలిగింది. ఈ సినిమాలో నేను బబ్లీ గర్ల్, సరదాగా ఉండే అమ్మాయి క్యారెక్టర్ లో నటించాను. ఇలాంటి క్యారెక్టర్ లో నటించాలనేది నా డ్రీమ్ గా ఉండేది. యూత్ ఆడియెన్స్ బాగా రిలేట్ అయ్యే చిత్రమిది. ఇది కేవలం ప్రేమ కథ మాత్రమే కాదు ప్రేమతో పాటు హాస్యం ఉత్కంఠ కూడా ఉంటాయి.
– నేను ఈ చిత్రంలో తమిళ అమ్మాయిగా కనిపిస్తా. ఈ తరంలో యువత జీవితాల్లో ఎలాంటివి జరుగుతున్నాయో అలాంటి కాంటెంపరరీ ఎలిమెంట్స్ మా సినిమాలో ఆకట్టుకునేలా తెరకెక్కించారు. ఇది ప్రేమ కథా చిత్రమే. కానీ యూత్ తో పాటు ఫ్యామిలీ ఆడియెన్స్ కూడా సినిమా చూసి ఎంజాయ్ చేయొచ్చు. సుమంత్ ప్రభాస్ ఈ సినిమా కోసం ఎక్కువ రోజులు వర్క్ షాప్ చేశాడు. నేను ఆయనతో చూస్తే చాలా తక్కువ వర్క్ షాప్స్ చేశాను. సుమంత్ ప్రభాస్ క్యారెక్టర్ ఈ సినిమాలో చాలా ఎనర్జిటిక్ గా ఉంటుంది. నా క్యారెక్టర్ కూడా ఆయనతో పోటీ పడేలా డిజైన్ చేశారు. మా రెండు పాత్రల మధ్య వచ్చే సంభాషణలు లైవ్ లీగా, నిజంగా ఒక జంట మధ్య జరుగుతున్నట్లు నేచురల్ గా అనిపిస్తాయి. అయితే ఆ సీన్స్ లో ఎక్కడా ల్యాగ్ ఉండదు. సీన్స్ స్పీడ్ గా వెళ్తూ ఎంటర్ టైన్ చేస్తుంటాయి.
– నా గత సినిమా 8 వసంతాలతో పోల్చితే రోమాంచకం డిఫరెంట్ జానర్ మూవీ. 8 వసంతాలు లాంటి ఇంటెన్స్ ఎమోషన్స్ ఉన్న సినిమా చేయాలని కోరుకున్నాను. అలాగే ప్రేమ కథల్లో కూడా నటించాలని ఉండేది. ఈ సినిమా మీకు ఎంత సరదాగా ఉంటుందో మా షూటింగ్ కూడా అలాగే ఫన్ తో సరదాగా సాగింది. ఈ రెండు చిత్రాలకు నాకు కలిగిన ఎక్సిపీరియన్స్ కంప్లీట్ గా దేనికది ప్రత్యేకమైనది. ఈ కథ చెప్పినప్పుడు నా క్యారెక్టర్ నచ్చింది దాంతో పాటు డైరెక్టర్ లో ఈ మూవీ ఎలా చేయబోతున్నాడో పూర్తి క్లారిటీతో ఉన్నారు. మ్యూజికల్ డ్రామా సినిమాలంటే నాకు ఇష్టం. ఈ సినిమాకు కూడా మ్యూజికల్ గా చాలా స్కోప్ ఉంటుంది. ఈ ఎలిమెంట్స్ అన్నీ నచ్చి నేను సినిమా చేసేందుకు మందుకొచ్చాను. ఈ చిత్రంలో రాధారమణ నా ఫేవరేట్ సాంగ్.
– పర్టిక్యులర్ గా ఈ సినిమాలో కొన్ని సీన్స్ నేను బాగా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తూ చేశాను. కొన్నిసార్లు నటిస్తున్నప్పుడే మనకు ఒక హ్యాపీనెస్ కలుగుతుంది, ఆ జాయ్ ను ఫీల్ అవుతాం. అలాంటి సీన్స్ ఈ మూవీలో చాలా ఉన్నాయి. నా పర్ ఫార్మెన్స్ చూసి సందీప్ గారు అప్రిషియేట్ చేశారు. ప్రేక్షకులు ఇచ్చే రెస్పాన్స్ కోసం వేచి చూస్తున్నా. సుమంత్ ప్రభాస్ ను ఫస్ట్ టైమ్ ఆఫీస్ లో చూసిన రోజు మేము బాగా మాట్లాడుకున్నాం. ఒక ఫ్రెండ్ అనే ఫీల్ కలిగింది. కొన్ని లెంగ్తీ సీన్స్ రిహార్సల్స్ చేశాం. అలా మా మధ్య ఆన్ స్క్రీన్ మంచి కెమిస్ట్రీ కుదిరింది. ప్రొడ్యూసర్ ప్రణయ్ రెడ్డి గారిని ఫస్ట్ చూసినప్పుడు ఆయనకు కోపం ఎక్కువేమో అనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఆయన చాలా మంచి వారని, సరదాగా ఉంటారని తర్వాత అర్థమైంది.
– తమిళంతో పాటు మలయాళం, తెలుగులో నటిస్తున్నాను. అవకాశాలను బట్టి వాటిని యాక్సెప్ట్ చేస్తూ వస్తున్నాను. ఏ భాషను ఇగ్నోర్ చేయడం లేదు. ఎక్కడ అవకాశాలు వస్తే ఆ మూవీస్ చేస్తూ వస్తున్నాను. చిన్నప్పటి నుంచి ఆర్ట్ నా జీవితం. కళ లేకుంటే నా జీవితం లేదు. డ్యాన్స్, ఫైట్స్..ఇలాంటి ఆర్ట్ ఫామ్స్ చిన్నప్పటి నుంచే ఏదో ఒకటి నేర్చుకుంటూనే ఉన్నాను. ఎల్ కేజీ నుంచే ఆర్ట్ ఫామ్స్ నేర్చుకోవడం అలవాటు అయ్యాయి. ఊరికే ఇంట్లో కూర్చోవడం నా వల్ల కాదు. నాకు దేవుడు రోజులో చాలా ఎక్కువ టైమ్ ఇచ్చాడని భావిస్తుంటా. ఇవన్నీ నటిగా నాకు ఎంతో హెల్ప్ అయ్యాయి. కృష్ణుడు, సత్యభామలా డ్యాన్స్ చేస్తాం. ఇక్కడ వివిధ పాత్రల్లో నటిస్తాం. అలా డ్యాన్స్ వల్ల నటిగా మెరుగయ్యాను.
– 8 వసంతాలు సినిమాలో నాయికగా నాకు మంచి పేరొచ్చింది. ఈ చిత్రంలో నాతో పాటు హీరోకు కూడా మంచి పేరు వస్తుంది. అయితే ప్రేక్షకులు ఎలాంటి రెస్పాన్స్ ఇస్తారో చూడాలని ఉంది. నటిగా కొత్త తరహా పాత్రలు, సినిమాలు, జానర్ మూవీస్ చేయాలని కోరుకుంటున్నా. డ్యాన్స్ బేస్డ్ సినిమాలు వచ్చినా చేయడానికి సిద్ధమే. ఏ పాత్రలో నటించినా ఆ పాత్రలో నటిస్తున్నప్పుడు నేను సంతృప్తిగా ఫీలవ్వాలి, ఆ క్యారెక్టర్ నాకు సంతోషాన్నివ్వాలి.
– ఈ చిత్రంలో ప్రేమ, హాస్యం, ఉత్కంఠ ఈ మూడు ఎమోషన్స్ బలంగా ఉంటాయి. ఈ మూడింటిలో నాకు ఉత్కంఠ బాగా నచ్చింది. ఈ ఉత్కంఠ కూడా ప్రేమ వల్లే అవుతుంది. అదెలా జరిగింది అనేది సినిమాలో చూడాలి. నేను గతంలో చేసిన క్యారెక్టర్స్ కంటే ఇది చాలా డిఫరెంట్ రోల్. మేము ఈ సినిమా చేస్తున్నప్పుడు ఎంత హ్యాపీగా సరదాగా చేశామో, థియేటర్స్ లో ఆడియెన్స్ సినిమా చూస్తున్నప్పుడు కూడా అలాగే ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తారని నమ్ముతున్నాను. ప్రస్తుతం తెలుగుతో పాటు తమిళ, మలయాళంలో కొత్త ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ కు డిస్కషన్స్ జరుగుతున్నాయి.

The film is produced by Pranay Reddy Vanga and directed by debutant Venugopal Reddy. Promising to be an engaging, youthful entertainer that blends love, humour and suspense, the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 3. During a media interaction held today, actress Ananthika Sanilkumar shared several interesting details about the film.
After 8 Vasantalu, many scripts came my way and I listened to several stories, but none of them really excited me. Around that time, I was approached with the script of Romanchakam. After listening to the story, I felt very happy and had the feeling that this was exactly the kind of film I had been wanting to do. I play a bubbly and fun-loving girl in this movie. Playing a character like this had always been a dream of mine. It is a film that young audiences will be able to relate to very well. It is not just a love story along with romance, it also has plenty of humour and suspense.
I play a Tamil girl in this film. The makers have incorporated contemporary elements that reflect what young people experience in their lives today, and they have presented them in an engaging way. It is a love story, but both youth and family audiences can enjoy it. Sumanth Prabhas underwent an extensive workshop for the film, while I did comparatively fewer workshops with him. His character is extremely energetic, and my character has also been designed to match his energy. The conversations between our characters feel lively, natural and authentic, just like the conversations between a real couple. There is no lag in those scenes either. They move at a fast pace and keep entertaining the audience.
Compared to my previous film 8 Vasantalu, Romanchakam is a completely different genre. I had wanted to do a film with intense emotions like 8 Vasantalu, but I also wanted to explore romantic films. The way you will have fun watching this movie is exactly how much fun we had while shooting it. My experience with both films has been completely different, and each one is special in its own way. When I heard the story, I immediately liked my character. At the same time, the director had complete clarity about how he wanted to make the film. I love musical dramas, and this film also has a lot of scope for music. I liked all these elements, which is why I came on board. Radharamana is my favourite song from the film.
There are certain scenes in this film that I particularly enjoyed performing. Sometimes, while acting, you experience a sense of happiness and genuinely feel the joy of the moment. There are many such scenes in this movie. Sandeep sir appreciated my performance, and I’m eagerly waiting to see how the audience responds. The first time I met Sumanth Prabhas at the office, we spoke a lot and I immediately felt like he was a friend. We rehearsed some lengthy scenes together, and that helped us develop good chemistry on screen. When I first met producer Pranay Reddy, I thought he might be a short-tempered person. But later, I realised that he is actually a very nice and fun-loving person.
I am working in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. I accept projects based on the opportunities that come my way. I am not ignoring any language; whenever I get good opportunities, I take them up. Art has been a part of my life since childhood. I cannot imagine my life without art. I have been learning different art forms, including dance and various forms of performance, since I was very young. I have been learning different art forms since my LKG days. I cannot just sit at home doing nothing. I feel like God has given me a lot of time in a day, and I want to make the most of it. All these experiences have helped me tremendously as an actress. We perform dances inspired by characters like Krishna and Satyabhama, and we portray different characters here. Dance has helped me improve as an actress.
I received a lot of appreciation as the female lead in 8 Vasantalu. I believe this film will bring good recognition not just to me but also to the hero. I am looking forward to seeing how the audience responds. As an actress, I want to explore new kinds of roles, films and genres. I would also be happy to do dance-based films if the right opportunity comes along. Whatever role I play, I want to feel satisfied while portraying that character, and the character should bring me happiness.
Prema, Hasyam and Uthkanta are the three strong emotions in this film. Among these three, I particularly enjoyed the suspense element. Interestingly, even the suspense stems from love. How that happens is something you have to watch in the film. Compared to the characters I have played in the past, this is a very different role for me. We had so much fun and happiness while making this film, and I believe the audience will enjoy it just as much while watching it in theatres. Currently, discussions are underway for some new projects in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
