న్యూ టాలెంట్ ను ఎంకరేజ్ చేస్తూ హీరో కిరణ్ అబ్బవరం సుమైర స్టూడియోస్తో కలిసి తన కేఏ ప్రొడక్షన్స్పై నిర్మించిన సినిమా ‘తిమ్మరాజుపల్లి టీవీ’. ఈ మూవీకి తేజ వేల్పుచర్ల సహ నిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరించారు. ఈ సినిమాతో వి.మునిరాజు దర్శకుడిగా పరిచయమయ్యారు. విలేజ్ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్లో సాగే పీరియాడిక్ డ్రామా మంచి విజయాన్ని అందుకుంది. ‘తిమ్మరాజుపల్లి టీవీ’ సినిమా ఈ నెల 15వ తేదీ నుంచి ఆహా ఓటీటీలో స్ట్రీమింగ్ కు రాబోతోంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా నటుడు ప్రదీప్ కొట్టె తన సినీ జర్నీ గురించి విశేషాలను పంచుకున్నారు. ఆయన చెప్పిందేంటంటే…
* నేపథ్యం…
– మాది చిత్తూరు జిల్లా పళమనేరు. చెన్నైలో జాబ్ చేశాను. హైదరాబాద్కి షిఫ్ట్ అయ్యాను. ఇక్కడకు వచ్చాక షార్ట్ ఫిల్మ్స్ అంటూ యాక్టింగ్ వైపు వచ్చాను. బీ స్టూడియోలో బషీర్ మాస్టర్ నేతృత్వంలో నాటకాలు వేశాను. ఆ నాటకాల్ని మా డైరెక్టర్ వి.మునిరాజుగారు చూశారు. నాకు రాజప్ప కారెక్టర్ అని చెప్పి ఆడిషన్ చేశారు. ఆ తరువాత కిరణ్ అబ్బవరం గారు నిర్మాత అని తెలియగానే చాలా కాన్ఫిడెంట్ వచ్చింది.
* తొలి అవకాశం…
– ‘తిమ్మరాజు పల్లి టీవీ’ రాజప్ప పాత్రకు మంచి ప్రశంసలు దక్కాయి. అందులో చాలా వేరియేషన్స్ ఉంటాయి. ఈ పాత్రతో నాకు మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ దక్కింది. నాకు తొలి సినిమా, అవకాశం అంటే ఇదే అని చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. షార్ట్ ఫిల్మ్స్, ఇండిపెండెంట్ సినిమాలు చేశాను కానీ.. తొలి ఫీచర్ ఫిల్మ్, మొదటి సారిగా స్క్రీన్ మీద కనిపించింది ఈ చిత్రంలోనే.
* రెండింటిని బ్యాలెన్స్ చేస్తూ..
– నేను నా జాబ్ చేస్తూనే సినిమా అవకాశాల కోసం ప్రయత్నించాను. వర్క్ ఫ్రమ్ హోం, లీవ్స్ అంటూ ఈ మూవీని కూడా మ్యానేజ్ చేశాను. నేను పూర్తి స్థాయిలో ప్రయత్నించలేకపోవడంతోనే ఇంత ఆలస్యం అయి ఉంటుందని భావిస్తున్నాను. గత పదేళ్ల నుంచి రెండింటిని బ్యాలెన్స్ చేస్తూనే ఉన్నాను. అలాగే నా కుటుంబం నుంచి మంచి సపోర్ట్ దొరికింది. ముఖ్యంగా నా శ్రీమతి ఇచ్చిన మద్దతు మరచిపోలేను. ఫ్యామిలీకి సంబంధించిన విషయాలను ఆమె చూసుకోవటం వల్ల నేను కెరీర్లో ఓ వైపు జాబ్ చేస్తూ మరో వైపు సినిమాలపై ఫోకస్ పెట్టాను.
* కిరణ్ అబ్బవరం అప్పటి నుంచే..
– నాకు చిన్నప్పటి నుంచీ సినిమాలంటే ఇష్టం. కానీ నాకు ఇదొక ప్యాషన్ అని తెలీదు. ఇంజనీరింగ్ టైంలో ఓ షార్ట్ ఫిల్మ్ చేశాను. నాకు నటన మీద ఇంట్రెస్ట్ ఉందని అప్పుడు అర్థమైంది. అయితే మేం షార్ట్ ఫిల్మ్స్ చేసే టైంలోనే కిరణ్ అబ్బవరం గారు నాకు తెలుసు. నేను ఒక ఆర్టిస్ట్ అని ఆయనకు కూడా తెలుసు. ఆయనకు ఆ టైంలోనే ఫ్యాన్ ఫాలోయింగ్ ఉండేది. ఆయన ప్రతీ ఒక్క క్రాఫ్ట్ మీద పట్టు సాధించి ఈ స్థాయికి వచ్చారు.
* ఆ భయం లేదు..
– నాకు ఈ పదేళ్ల అనుభవంలో కెమెరా భయం అనేది పోయింది. కెమెరా ముందు ఎలా నటించాలి అన్న విషయం తెలిసింది. డైలాగ్ డెలివరీ, డిక్షన్ అనేది థియేటర్ డ్రామాలో తెలిసింది. ఒకే నాటకంలో గంటన్నర పాటుగా ఐదు పాత్రలను పోషించాను.డైరెక్టర్ మునిరాజుగారు ప్రతీ ఒక్క విషయాన్ని, సీన్ను డీటైలింగ్గా వివరించేవారు. వర్క్ షాప్ మాకెంతో ఉపయోగపడింది.
*ప్రతీ పాత్ర ఇంపాక్ట్ క్రియేట్ చేసేదే..
– ఈ మూవీలో సాయి తేజ్, లతీష్ ఇలా చాలా మంది నటించిన పాత్రలు నాకు ఇష్టం. చాలా వరకు అందరూ సింగిల్ టేక్స్లోనే నటించారు. ప్రతీ ఒక్క పాత్ర ఇంపాక్ట్ క్రియేట్ చేస్తుంది.
* అదొక మెమొరబుల్ మూమెంట్…
– నేను యాక్టింగ్ సైడ్ ఉన్నానని మా ఇంట్లో ఎవ్వరికీ తెలీదు. కాస్తో కూస్తో మా అక్కకి తెలుసంతే. మా అమ్మనాన్నలకు చెప్పకుండా షూటింగ్కి తీసుకు వచ్చింది మా అక్క. అలా మా పేరెంట్స్ని అలా చూడటం, వారు నన్ను అలా చూడటం అదొక మెమరబుల్ మూమెంట్.
* నెక్ట్స్ మూవీస్..
– ప్రస్తుతం కొన్ని కథలు వింటున్నాను. కాస్త ఇంపార్టెంట్ ఉన్న పాత్రలే పోషించాలని వెయిట్ చేస్తున్నాను. అవకాశాలు వస్తున్నాయి కదా? అని ఏదో ఒకటి చేయాలని అనుకోవడం లేదు.

The film ‘Thimmarajupalli TV’, produced by hero Kiran Abbavaram under his KA Productions banner in association with Sumaira Studios while encouraging new talent, became a successful village-based period drama. Teja Velpucharla worked as co-producer, and V. Muniraju made his debut as director with this movie. The film is set to stream on the OTT platform Aha from the 15th of this month. On this occasion, actor Pradeep Kotte shared details about his cinematic journey.
* Background…
– I am from Palamaneru in Chittoor district. I worked in Chennai and later shifted to Hyderabad. After coming here, I entered acting through short films. I performed in stage plays under Bashir Master at B Studio. Our director V. Muniraju watched those plays and auditioned me for the role of Rajappa. Later, when I learned that Kiran Abbavaram was producing the film, I became very confident.
* First Opportunity…
– The character Rajappa in ‘Thimmarajupalli TV’ received great appreciation. It had many variations, and I got a very good response through that role. I can truly call this my first real opportunity in cinema. Though I acted in short films and independent movies before, this was my first feature film and my first appearance on the big screen.
* Balancing Two Careers…
– I continued my job while trying for film opportunities. Through work-from-home and leaves, I managed this movie too. I feel the delay in my career happened because I couldn’t dedicate myself fully. For the last ten years, I’ve been balancing both careers. My family supported me a lot, especially my wife. Since she took care of family responsibilities, I was able to focus on both my job and films.
* Kiran Abbavaram Was Popular Even Then…
– I’ve loved cinema since childhood, though I didn’t realize it was my passion. During engineering, I acted in a short film and understood my interest in acting. Back when we were making short films, I already knew Kiran Abbavaram. He also knew me as an artist. Even at that time, he had a fan following. He mastered every craft and reached this stage through hard work.
* No Fear Anymore…
– In these ten years of experience, I lost my fear of the camera. I learned how to perform in front of it. Theatre drama taught me dialogue delivery and diction. In one play, I performed five different roles continuously for one and a half hours. Director Muniraju used to explain every scene in great detail. The workshop helped us immensely.
* Every Character Creates an Impact…
– I liked many performances in the movie, including those by Sai Tej and Latheesh. Most of the actors performed in single takes. Every character in the film creates an impact.
* A Memorable Moment…
– No one in my family knew that I was involved in acting. Only my sister knew a little about it. Without informing my parents, my sister brought them to the shooting location. Seeing my parents there, and them seeing me acting like that, was truly a memorable moment.
* Next Movies…
– Right now, I’m listening to a few stories. I want to wait for roles that have importance and substance. Just because opportunities are coming, I don’t want to do random projects.
